Returns Policy
At Mushrooms by John, I want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If there’s an issue with your order, I’ll do my best to make it right. Please read the details of my returns policy below.
Returning Fresh Mushrooms
Since fresh mushrooms are perishable, I can’t accept returns unless the item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect. If this happens, please get in touch with me within 24 hours of receiving your order. Be sure to include a photo of the issue so I can resolve it quickly for you.
Returning Non-Perishable Items
If you’ve bought something non-perishable, like dried mushrooms, pâté, jerky, or supplements, I’m happy to accept returns as long as:
The item is unopened, unused, and still in its original packaging.
You contact me within 14 days of receiving your order to arrange the return.
How to Request a Return
To start a return, send me an email at sales@mushroomsbyjohn.co.uk with your order number, a brief explanation of the issue, and any supporting photos if applicable. I’ll get back to you as quickly as I can with the next steps.
Refunds and Exchanges
For eligible returns, I can either send a replacement or issue a refund (excluding delivery charges).
Refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 7 working days of me receiving the returned item.
Return Shipping
If you’re returning an item due to a mistake on my part (e.g., incorrect or damaged product), I’ll cover the cost of return shipping. Otherwise, you’ll need to cover this cost yourself.
Items Not Eligible for Return
I can’t accept returns for:
Opened or used items.
Products returned outside the 14-day window (for non-perishables).
Fresh mushrooms that were delivered correctly and in good condition.
